What a lovely community this game has.

New to the game. Friends play it all the time and basically forced me to get into it. Playing with them is an absolute joy....by yourself? Not so much. I need to level the account to get more champs with this new blue essence system. Sucks I came into league the moment the IP was taken away. But I really am trying my hardest to play my best and learn from mistakes and experiences. Especially if people can give helpful advice, but that advice usually never comes at me in a positive way..

As shown by the images of the post game chat log. I've never seen people want someone banned so badly, especially when Im new. You would think people would say "Its fine, you tried your best" And then gives advice, but no, all they do is lie there way through the enemies minds to try and get me banned. Its kinda sad really cause there isnt much I can do to defend myself. The enemy doesnt know if I was toxic or not. So all they can believe is the majority. And if theres a duo, well case closed im screwed. Thank god the annie was on my side.

Naming and Shaming is not allowed on the boards.

You should edit the screenshots and blurr out the names.

Quite simply, if you're playing your hardest and not flaming or harassing your team in chat, you're in the clear. No amount of reports would trigger a punishment in you as long as you follow those two basic principles. Here's a little tip, if you press TAB you can see a little megaphone button to mute a player. The other buttons are to mute their pings (for ping spam) and their emotes. Afterward, submit a report on them for ban-calling and harassment.

Good luck with the level grind and welcome to league. We're not all terrible.

If you need to learn more about league of legends then playing certainly helps but you can learn a lot about strategy and game mechanics by watching informative youtubers and reading guides on various websites.

IMO this might be more useful to you than asking teammates for information, as they may be misinformed or might choose to troll you instead of helping.

Some youtubers that may prove helpful to you:

  • Jeremy "Gaming Curios" (strategy guides mostly)

  • phylol (variety of content including strategy guides, top tier OP lists, and strategy analysis)

  • Randomonium (for learning about champion roles and how different classes work)

  • Midbeast (for mechanics and in-depth guides on certain champions that are played in mid)

  • SoloRenektonOnly (for laning and minion wave management guides, as well as top-lane gameplay videos featuring OP builds and useful strategy analyses sprinkled throughout)

Bro don't go the stupid PC culture route.

Use your mute for chatty asshats and your report for people actually ruining the game

AdeBug12/1/2017, 11:46:00 PM1 votes

multiple reports don't stack and don't add to the severity of the report. it only takes 1, but if your chat is clean, no worries. mute at first sign of offensiveness

Welcome to League !!

Things you might want to learn about the system:

  1. The system has the ability to verify false reports. So if you didn't do anything wrong, don't worry about getting reported. Infact, the way they harass you and threaten to report is counted as harassment against them and they can get punished for it (if they do it over many games).

  2. There is no need to ask for multiple reports. The system is purposely programmed in a way that only takes in account 1 report. This is to prevent premade abuse against the poor solo guy.

  3. Knowing points 1) and 2), you really don't need to defend yourself against anything, as their accusations don't do anything to you.

  4. Be glad that you started in this Blue Essence era instead. In the previous IP era, you'd have to contemplate on using your IP to by runes or champs, and if you didn't have the runes, your stats in the game (atk / armor / health / MR etc.) will be much behind than the people whom are slightly higher level than you, and you wonder why you can't kill them.

You don't need to defend yourself in this type of situation. I can't zoom the chat portion of your screenshots enough to read them, but as long as you are not toxic in chat you have nothing to worry about. Even if all 4 people are ragging on you, just don't stoop to thier level of maturity, just go to your next game and leave this one behind.
