And now every Plat and Gold player is posting Boards adds to Help Silver and bronze players get out of their ranking to gold. Seriously riot you just messed up .

I mean s look at your boards I understand its not banable but this is Ridiculous now that players are freely asking to get "boosted" yes duo queueing is considered boosting when you're 12 ranks higher then the person you're with and getting them a easy win. when they normally couldn't.

I mean wow.

You guys just flat out admitted " here is what we ban, and so if we don't know about it we can't ban you"

so under the table people can pay to have others play their account or pay to get some one to carry them.

just as long as they don't verbally admit it like a fool then its ok cause how else re you going to find out the exchange of money for a service right?

seriously you guys messed up bad..

now you're ranking system is going to be even more of a joke for bronze and silvers cause of this issue.

Whether there is money involved or not, account sharing is against the rules and you will be banned for MMR Boosting just the same. You don't need to verbally admit what's going on for them to determine someone else is on the account and take action. And no, we are not talking about duo queuing; there is nothing against the rules about playing with someone else, as the only restrictions are that they are within a certain number of divisions (depending on your rank) for Ranked play.

So that's why your boards are now filling up with advertisements from Plat players and gold players willing to party with Bronze players to pull them out of Bronze, or silver?

how are you going to say that is not boosting. whats the point of a ranking system. if you can just ask a person in Plat to just pull you out of bronze?

I've edited my post to include links to the Ranked Play FAQ which has the queue limitations chart, and the MMR Boosting page. I'll also post here the queue limitations chart for you;

Bronze Tier: Can only queue with Bronze and Silver Tier players. Silver Tier: Can only queue with Bronze, Silver, and Gold Tier players. Gold Tier: Can only queue with Silver, Gold, and Platinum Tier players. Platinum Tier: Can only queue with Gold and Platinum players, with exceptions listed below. Diamond V: Can only queue with Platinum I, II, III, and Diamond II, III, IV, V Tier players. Diamond IV: Can only queue with Platinum I, II, and Diamond I, II, III, IV, V players. Diamond III: Can only queue with Platinum I, Diamond I, II, III, IV, V, and Master Tier players. Diamond II: Can only queue with Diamond I, II, III, IV, V and Master Tier players. Diamond I: Can only queue with Diamond I, II, III, IV and Master Tier players. Additionally, Diamond I and Master Tier players can only queue solo or with one teammate. Admittedly, the rank restrictions can be bypassed using (probably botted) smurf accounts when queuing with a lower-ranked player.

You can't really prevent that without outright banning smurf accounts though.

And that's the problem that I see. yes a person in plat 1 can play with a bronze player. Via using a free smurf account. fine I understand random smurf in my game is what ever..

But when plat Players are Advertising that they will carry you out of those elo's on the boards with their smurf accounts and telling you what account to add that basically advertising a Free Elo boosting service.

I understand the ranking limitations. but limitations can be bypassed by Smurf accounts. and When some one is advertising this on the board forums that just screams free boosting

I believe if they make a smurf account and just duo with a bronze/silver player it's technically fine because it can be seen as two friends just duoing. You can't tell someone they can't make a smurf and duo with a 'friend'.

Duoing with a friend is one thing. Advertising on the forums to carry people out of low elo with your smurf account is a completely different.

Duoing is not against and they will not ban for it because the person being boosted is in the game. Playing on another person's account is against the rules and they will punish both players.

Of course if a person is not caught they will not be punished, that is how the world works, even outside of League.

The only way they could eliminate duo boosting would be if they made it against the rules to smurf.

AFAIK, Riot outsources moderation of their boards.

Neither Arbiters nor Moderators are Rioters (though they do have additional channels of communication with them).

If you were referring to the support page in the topic, you should link to it directly.

If the player in question is on their own account, it isn't against the ToS.

That said, I do believe Riot cracks down on boosters (who accept payment for their services) if they have sufficient evidence it is occurring.

Um, correct me if I'm wrong. But all I see is a link where Riot states that they ban someone for playing on another person's account for the purpose of boosting.

I don't see an admission that they will explicitly not ban for selling your services on a smurf to boost.

I was asked if I wanted to be boosted to plat from silver by a plat that found me on these boards. I said no. Sure I'll be silver and not plat, but I sure as hell want to earn that spot. Cheating takes all the fun out of winning.

my issue isn't the fact of smurfs I understands smurfs I get that. what i'm talking about is the

Advertisement of services filling up the boards of plat players offering to carry bronze and silver players out of Bronze and Silver with their Smurf accounts.

I get a random smurf in my game fine what ever. but when I start Seeing' advertisements for it that's when the line has to be drawn cause that's flat out offering of "Free" services and I say "free" cause I wouldn't be surprised if they message them in one of many chat programs and say " if you want to get to gold it will cost that much"

I've seen a couple of posts advertising it all day today from different people on the boards now. but I accept my down votes it's how these boards work

Don't pay attention to upvotes or downvotes, only that eventually your issue will be addressed. Mostly it's due to how you articulate your ideas. Some people do it better than others.

True true, frustration does make angry posts. just sucked getting out of a match and having a lane get steam rolled and some guy advertising in the match he was a smurf. then taking a look at forums while waiting for my next game and seeing plat players advertising boosting on their smurf accounts on the boards was a kicker

so I angry posted and informed a issue I see happening.

There is no such thing as free lunch. If the person offered to boost you for free, he was most likely after your account name and password.

I recommend the regular mute & report(no matter if the 'service' was offered for free or not). I don't know under which category the report would go, since I haven't ever seen that kind of advertisement. There is probably something that works.

Boosting is giving your credentials to be logged into and elk boosted.

Having someone higher Elo in your party isn't boosting

Yes, account sharing, buying and selling are against the ToS/ToU and results in an immediate account ban once caught.
