Remove /all chat from ranked solo-duo/flex games + replace with auto generated responses
The first thing someone might say to the title is 'just turn off /all chat in settings if you don't want to participate in it'; So let me rebut this argument first and then explain further why it doesn't belong in ranked play. Yes you can turn it off for YOURSELF, but not anyone else in the game. There are many problems that come from /all and really no redeeming qualities that I think justify it's existence. I'll simply list the pros and cons.
Pros: Allows for compliments and friendly banter.
Cons: -Allows your teammates to assist your enemy by accident or even on purpose. Examples of accidental detrimental use of /all: (a). Divulging information such as 'we have an afk' is a seemingly harmless statement, but arms the enemy team with very useful knowledge. (b). Accidentally typing important information in /all such as you're planning a gank, splitting, going for an objective ect. You can also use /all with malicious intent, by informing the enemy about many things to purposely assist them. Warning them of a gank your jungler is about to make for example.
-Allows for players to put each other down and be toxic, such as name calling, bragging, ect. Even for the player who isn't misusing /all, reading comments like 'you're garbage' after they die or lose an objective can be very demoralizing and tilting. This negative environment can cause players to just want to give up and forfeit, both literally or in spirit.
-Can be extremely distracting. An example would be if a heated or toxic discussion forms in /all and you or your teammates are stopping to type long paragraphs to each other causing you to get ganked or lose in combat.
-Players who choose to turn /all chat off are immediately at a disadvantage, only given the fact that most likely everyone else in the game is using it. As Unfortunate and unnecessary as /all is, it becomes necessary to participate in it to preform your best. Someone who wants to win needs to know everything that's going on in the game. Being aware of an argument happening between a teammate and an enemy for example is information that is useful to them. If /all wasn't available, such problems wouldn't be possible.
-Allows malicious manipulation of newer players through simple tricks like saying 'press d to dance' and getting them to waste summoner spells. I know this is a weak example, but its a problem nonetheless.
I'm sure there are more reasons honestly, I personally have never liked or found use in /all. I've lost more games due to all the reasons I posted here than I can count anymore. I think if we had some simple quotes such as 'good luck have fun' or 'better luck next time' or even some flavorful quotes like the bots have in bots games, that would be fine.
