Title. It has to be, one of the most tilting things in LoL. Don't group when they say group? "Report X". Don't want to play a 4v5? "Report X" Take 3 cs that are bouncing off a turret? "Report X"
Half the time its to threaten and strongarm you into playing how they want you to play. Just tilts the hell out of me. I dont see how Riot does not realize how toxic it is. I legit don't even want the person who said it, to win at that point.
Threatening to report is flagged as negative by the IFS.
If you report them, it will be added to their record.
It will contribute to a punishment in the future, even if it rarely triggers a punishment by itself.
I can promise you if you type in /muteall the league community will be less toxic, if you didn't realise. It'll save you from getting banned, and just move on from the scenario. Just pretend like there is no chat in league, and you're all good I promise bud :)

Hmmmm...? Asking for reports is consider harassment and people have been punished for it.
Also, why do you care if people report You? The system has the capability to filter out false reports, so if you did nothing wrong, then they system won't puhnish you.
People threaten to report me all the time, be it that I manage to kill enemy champions, that I kill a minion, destroy a turret, don't place enough wards even when I'm overwarding, that I don't engage in a suicide run or group up with them in midlane to watch the enemy plow through all three inhibitors without recourse.
If even a fifth of the claims were actually followed through, I'd be getting an average of 14 reports PER GAME. Every player would have to create multiple accounts and flood Riot's entire inbox with meaningless reports. With how many false reports were made against me in the past, I probably have international diplomatic immunity.
The word of a League player is worth infinitely less than a pile of fetid pig shit.
