Why does the Honor system punish people who play more?

The problem with the honor system, if it is proportional like it seems to be, is that someone who plays a position which doesn't get honored much, like top or jungle gets punished more for playing lots of games while the "casual" player gains honor rapidly. I've played over 100 games in the last month and won about half of them, like anybody else and I always honor someone on my team. In those 50-ish losses I've not ever seen a game where everyone was honored, mostly because someone HAD to flame. In the games I've won, I've gotten 2-4 honors at least 20 times.

There has been NO advancement towards a checkpoint. So, why does the honor system seem to be on a sliding scale that makes it harder for those people that play a lot, either due to streaming or love of the game to advance in honor?

Idk what you mean by people who play a lot get punished...

Tbh everybody hits an honor level around the same time, like when the first person hit level 3 almost everybody did the same or very next day if they weren't toxic.

The honors you get matter very little in comparison to just playing and not being toxic, my one friend quit league last season, came back in october, and made it to honor 5 from only 2 before season rewards.
