League of Legends has the most toxic community of any game

I hate to say it, but League of Legends has the most toxic community I have ever experienced playing any version of an MMO. Hell, I played nothing but Call of Duty for 2 years and even the 12 year olds in voice chat were nicer than this community. Don't get me wrong, it certainly has its highlights. League also has a community full of creative and inspiring people who only want to better the game. But it seems every game I play these days I'm not having fun anymore. It could just be the evolution of the game. But even when I am winning, people are always incredibly rude, condescending and unsportsmanlike in all chat or even on my own team. Everyone feels the need to bring everyone else down and it is just becoming exhausting.

The other aspect of league that I've been experiencing more and more is the shear frustration of it. Honestly I have never gotten more frustrated at a video game than I have at league of legends. People will read this post and say its on me for letting a game upset me, and I take responsibility for that. But there is just something extra about this game that is deteriorating. I love league, I've been playing since season 2. I'm incredibly invested in the game and I still have some enjoyable moments. But honestly it has just been losing its luster for me for a while now. Its not the same lore-driven, crazy anything can happen game. Now its pick a champion from the 15 champions in meta, deal with toxic players every game, lose, and repeat. If this continues, I honestly can't see myself continuing to play this game for much longer. Hopefully some of you can empathize with some of these frustrations, and I encourage you to share your opinions here.

Whole heartedly agreed. Easily the worst community I've ever been around. Most of the people in this community remind of the John Cleese video about dumb people not realizing they are bad at something.

allods has the worst community, if anyone knows this mmorpg. the community has, like every other game, 3-5 big guilds. and you need HUGE GUILDS for lategame pvp/dungeons. if you fuck up they put you on their blacklist and everyone in the guild is forced to bann you. in the end 80% of the lategame players blocked you. enjoy pvp enjoy lategame inis rofl.

League is pretty toxic. Every game its something else. Doesn't help that I'm in bronze which is the worst skilled rank in the game. I either /mute all or listen to people rage at each other non stop for 30+ mins.

If I died stupidly I can completely understand if someone points out I should play better. But when a 0/10 teemo rages and keeps saying the reason we are losing is everyone's fault but his own, it is very frustrating. It seems like this happens every single game. The worst part is after the game where a couple people get in a bitch fit and start screaming for people to report other people for things that are not even reportable offences.

The second thing that's aggrivating is the only way you know they got punished for what they did is blind faith so they could go 100 games being toxic and never get banned and you would never know.
