You're just arguing, there is literally nothing here pertaining to the match, and you're threatening them with reports. Just mute people that are a problem in chat, that solves the problem immediately; if you do this instead you just make it worse and become problem #2, which is why you get punished for it.

Kind of difficult when they ping "assist me" and you go in, then they fall back and type in all chat "report X" and everyone else agrees. It puts you on the defensive, and getting punished in an already punished scenario does not bode well for the community. As of recent I've dropped from Gold I to Silver V simply due to people afking or doing whatever the hell they want. I've not said a word and when it's my turn to do what I want, all hell breaks loose.

ive been in this situation and permabanned once, almost twice. trust me, just ignore them. you only have to spend 30 minutes with them, where as they are like that for life. ignore them and get through the game.

It's really not difficult at all. If they are annoying, just hit Tab and press the Mute button. False reports won't hurt you as long as you've done nothing wrong so you don't have to worry about them lobbying to mass report you, and threatening with or lobbying to mass report is itself punishable; take the high road and they are always the ones that have to fear punishment instead of you.

What is happening here is not you being defensive, you are attacking them back. Defending should mitigate the issue, not exacerbate it.

Just because they ask for help doesn't mean you have to suicide trying. Sometimes it isn't the right time to go in, sometimes they aren't capable of assisting you when you arrive because of cooldowns or health. It is okay to not help them if the situation isn't favorable.

Asking for reports isn't acceptable behavior, and is in itself reportable. The reports mean nothing if you weren't doing anything wrong to begin with, but responding with harassment makes those reports true. Mute, report, move on. It isn't worth dwelling over. You'll enjoy yourself more, I promise.
