commented this 100 times but

VOCAL MINORITY =/= COMMUNITY

such as Tyler 1

the COMMUNITY wants him banned the vocal minority on the boards who qq shit post and fill the front page by up voting each other and immeditly down voting others(who disagree) are NOT

same with champions

all the time you get 100-200 people qqing about a certain champ or item(doing what i described above) and they say they're the community opinion... NO

same went on with URF

people saying the community wanted urf then complained about urf...

NOPE it was 100-200 people just spam posting and upvoting each other the giant majority who like something aren't gonna comment/post about it

Thanks for making this post. Sometimes People need reminders for the most obvious things. This really helped clear my view once again.

I can agree that the people who wanted URF were playing URF 24/7. While the people who didn't like it started making post literally 1 minute after it came back up.

Let's not forget the Boards community does not equal the LOL community either. We're 0.001% or less of the community. Which makes the fan base of Tyler1, let's say ummm....0.00000000something percent...

Using the Tyler1 ban thread to describe the general boards playerbase is like using the nazi party to describe the Germans. Have you ever seen over 2000 votes on any thread either way? That's obviously just the result of a raid. The boards themselves are generally a pretty accurate representation of the playerbase. Nothing but 100% of the community would actual "=" community. Everything else is a subsection.

Whats the point of this thread, everyone saying anything positive about tyler1 is instantly downvoted anyway minus the orignial Rito post lol.

the only people upvoting tyler1 are like 12 years old... the rest of the boards community actually has some valid points alot of the time

The vocal ones are usually the ones that SEEM to represent the community generally though. Especially in online gaming. 10/10 post <3

I have to ask whats "=/="

Lauchmelder5/2/2016, 6:01:40 AM1 votes

I'd call them the vocal "majority" tbh. They are the overall minority. As an example have SoloQ:

Vocal majority/Overall Minority complains about DynamicQ and wants SQ. Vocal minority/Overall majority either doesn't give a damn or likes DQ.

looks like the vocal minority supports you though...

Tyler case was special, since those people weren't actualy a part of Boards community before he was banned.
