A Memo to Kids who Do Not Possess Critical Thinking Skills
WHY do some people think that players have 100% control over their internet connection?
So I probably have about a 90% rate of perfect connection. 10% being a bad connection, could be caused by any number of things:
- weather
- my ISP
- Riot
etc
Now, when I play a game and I see someone disconnecting repeatedly but they keep reconnecting I think to myself - ah, that's suck. That poor guy/girl is having a bad connection The fact that they keep reconnecting tells me that they are NOT deliberately trying to afk And yet there are always a group of kids that are like "report for afk"
Really? You can't tell the difference between a legit afk and someone just having a bad day? Because when that happens to YOU, you dont want to be reported, right?
But people act like that stuff never happens to them, and they conveniently remember when it does happen to them.
So, I was playing a Ranked Flex game, and about 30 seconds in, I can't move. "ATTEMPTING TO RECONNECT" flashes on my screen twice. Nothing I type is going through the chat.
So I disconnect. Restart the computer. Attempt to relaunch the client, and it freezes. I close out the client and get back in, problem solved. Except now I'm 4 Levels behind, and trying to catch up.
So this Yasuo is basically telling /all chat that it's my fault we're losing. (You know, because Support Nami should carry bottom, mid, top AND jungle - and since they all lose their lanes while I was gone, it's obviously my fault for not knowing that I was going to get disconnected)
I just... want to impart this wisdom on some of you kids who do not understand how things work. Shut your mouth for like 2 minutes. Think before you speak. Think about a similar situation in which this happened to you. And THEN be like ... ooooh yyeeaaa
mmk?
