Honor System and Reporting

Hello, I just want to educate the community on a discussion I recently had with Riot regarding the honor system.

I have been sitting at honors 3, level 1 for awhile now. I emailed Riot asking what I was being pinged on to hurt my progression as I am usually a very positive player and also one of the few who still honors after a loss (whole separate post). They reviewed my file and emailed me this. "You are earning Honor at a slowed rate due to some very light negative behavior... mostly seeing a lot of telling others players you're reporting them and asking other players to report them... calling for reports can be seen as negative or even harassment because again, only your report matters."

I am letting the community know about this so others are not set back as well. I do not deny these claims as I openly tell people I am reporting them for afk, running it down mid, or etc. But, TDIL you just need to move on. Saying you will report them can be harassment, which in turn allows them to report you. If anyone has any questions let me know. Otherwise, take care of best of luck in future games!

Edit: Why is this being down voted? I am just giving a heads up so others like myself can work on this. This is not an attack at Riot or the system. What am I missing?

Saying you will report them can be harassment

In what country other then RIOTland because they seem to know everything, is telling someone "I will report you" harassment....

A women who is sexually abused all her life says "You know what? im ending this abuse today" Do you think the guy or cop will say "You did good reporting to us.... By the way, your getting a ticket for harassing the man who abused you because you told him you would report him to the authorities, have a great day"

even tho i agree with my quote^^, i do disagree that a policeman will never say that to a women who has been abused.

A kid who see's a crime, Policeman " Good job on reporting the crime, but now ur going to get a ticket for 100 bucks(Penalty is it not?) for being a snitch"

Like these are real world examples that "Reporting" "Snitching" "Telling someone" is bad? like im very confused on that statement because in reality it doesnt make sense but in Riotland it does~

I don't even type. Even in aram when someone is playing a champ as wrong as one could I don't inform them on combo's or whatever. Seems like anything can be turned around and considered toxic even when having the best of intentions. Fucking game scares me from trying to help people... It's a wonderful system aint it? Thanks for the info, some people are unaware. I would also add, don't use profanity regardless of context. This is the only game I play anymore as I don't have the time and I am really resenting this church behavior bullshit. It's not even fun, I dunno why I still play tbh =/
