Automated penalty system is actually so dumb...

90% of my games i have somebody flame the shit out of me and i report them and i dont get a message saying they got a penalty for their actions but one game i tell the enemy team to report the person flaming me and i get chat restricted every single time like please... Someone said this to me my last game i reported and i got chat restricted and they didnt.

I've removed the player names, as we have a rule against naming and shaming.

I'm sorry you ran into this behavior, but what someone else says and does not excuse anything you may say or do. Your own punishments will come from what you choose to type into chat, and nothing else.

Also, do note that you don't always see when a punishment goes out -- the message doesn't always send. It's entirely possible the other individual did receive a punishment.

Like The Djinn said, you don't always get a notification when someone is punished. I don't think Riot has ever said why it's like that, but only the person who's report causes the system to punish the player gets the notif. So they may have been punished, you just weren't notified.

Keep in mind asking for reports is actually considered toxic. It's not extremely bad toxicity, but it still is, as it can grow from there. Besides, one report is enough to get the system to check someone. Constant asking for reports can get you chat restricted, or worse if you keep doing the same thing after already having a 25 game chat restriction and still being "watched" basically.

You are lucky with the chat restriction only, In my account in the LAN server, I used an "homophobe" word which where I am from it is not meant to be offensive but well the variaty of the language got me a 15 day ban. it was unlcuky I was playing flex so maybe I got reported 5 times from that game, and I could be wrong but with this system the more reports you get from a single match the faster you will get a ban. It took the system 2 months to get this account ban for feeding in solo q, and only 1 match in the other account(LAN server) for being offensive.

I feel you. This penalty system is sooo fuking dumb and this riot won't do anything about it. HOW is thing a penalty???
