I know it works, but I noticed that this season, there is a large amount of toxicity in games nowadays. I've pretty much been reporting people for verbal abuse every single game, and when I mean verbal abuse, I mean VERBAL ABUSE. I do have thick skin, but when I see this in game:
"You should go get cancer and hang yourself" "Your mom should have swallowed or suffocated you as a baby" "Your parents should have aborted you since you're autistic/retarded" "I wish I knew where you lived so I could come to your doorstep and slit your throat"
I know it is verbal abuse. Some of it has been directed towards me, and some of it has been directed at fellow teammates. Some of it has been directed towards the enemy team, and I always report someone who spends 15-20 seconds to type out a death threat or someone who is consistently a jerk.

You have no proof that he was banned for that altercation, pretty big leap to take there. Punished, yes. but not banned.
