Have Jax players surpassed riven players in toxicity?

For some reason, about half the time that I encounter a person playing Jax, said person acts like a sore loser and in general an (Insert word here). May I ask why this is?

They aren't riven players or jax players. They are just fotm riders that just think that if they play what is strong they will be rewarded by the flying spaghetti monster.

My guess is, with Rageblade and Gunblade, Jax is really strong right now. If someone does poorly on Jax they tend to get pissed off and flame (this is my personal experience, take that as you will XD)

Imo a lot of people who hop on fotm champions seem to be more negative then most other players.

Is a support main I see where you are coming from with that.... I used to main Soraka until she got mega-buffed, and I stopped playing her because she is widely known for being superpowerful.... So now I play Sona, who is in so many ways better but people don't realize because she doesn't have as much healing as Soraka...

Nope, because neither champion nor role decides how toxic a player is. I've seen many toxic supports in my time, Bard being the most common followed by Leona. And god forbid you play with a tank that dives 1v5 with no warning and gets melted before anyone else can react, suddenly its "stupid noob team never follows up when I'm tanking. them"

I very rarely rage as a support.... though when I do, its because the jinx is literally draining all of my hp trying to auto down the caitlyn....
