@Moderators, how about a new post function? - (opposite of report)

There is a report function, but a lot of the time, you can't really report posts because there's nothing worth reporting there.

But, some posts seem like they are unfairly down-voted and it seems like posts that should be reported and probably are so are also getting up-voted. So, it seems like the forum is infested with trolls. So, what I wonder is if we can get a function with the title of something like 'verify' or 'uphold' which will --like any report-- get the attention of a moderator.

To what end? Well, a poster would attempt to 'uphold' the integrity of a post that got a lot of down-votes. This action would tell the moderator "Hey I think this post was down-voted unfairly by trolls, but since these trolls are anonymous to me, I can't report this action, so I'm attempting to uphold this post." and then the moderator could look at the ones down-voting the post and see if they perhaps are indeed trolling and subsequently they would render some disciplinary actions.

What actions? Probably temporarily or permanently restricting them from both up-voting and down-voting posts. Presumably from reporting posts as well.

It's odd to me when I click up or down on a post only to see the number go in the opposite direction, and it happens a lot! My only conclusion is that the forum is infested with trolls. Adding a new function, one that attempts to protect posts in general from getting mercilessly down-voted by trolls might improve the forums a bit as posts that are good will appear good and posts that are bad will appear bad, instead of trolls very often having their way and making things backwards.
