How to Properly Switch Roles with Someone in Ranked

Recently I found myself in ranked champ select with ADC as my pick intent. Apparently the rest of the team was a 4-man queue, and they begged me to trade with their mid laner. I'm not a good mid laner at all (it's my worst role), but they assured me that they would carry and not get mad at me if I didn't do so well. It's bronze, anything can happen, so I locked in Annie even though I've played her twice (two times more than any other mid laner I own).

And guess what? They didn't! The game was one of the most positive experiences I've had in LoL. Their jungler focused on getting the other lanes ahead instead of trying to cover for my lackluster Annie skills, and I just focused on not losing my tower before the enemy Urgot did. They didn't get mad at me for going 0/3 in the first fifteen minutes, and gave me some tips as well as ganked quite often once they all got fed. We eventually won the game by a good margin.

And that's the story of how I won my first game as a mid laner! Props to that 4-man queue for carrying me, bearing with my terrible mid abilities, and staying positive + not flaming. tl;dr, be nice to your teammates and they'll be nice to you.
