So I joined a game of league and started, as we loaded in my pizza got to my house and I had to go eat, by the time I was done everyone was about level 8, I got to level 9 by the time others were level 10, we had lost the game but not mainly from me being afk, I didn't even do bad in the game. Now I have to wait 20 minutes to play 1 game, for 5 more game. its not like i rejoined and was only level 3 by the time everyone else was level 18 or anything, but 20 minutes!? that's like half a normal game and is stupidly long.

Don't start a game when dinner is on the way. If you do, go grab the pizza at the door, pay the delivery guy, and go right back to your game. You don't stop to eat it, too. Work on time-management...

You didn't get a 20 minute penalty from afk on one game....

First of all, you are punished because you left the game. Regardless of the impact to the game and the reason, you left the game.

Secondly, people do NOT receive 20 minutes ban on their first offense. You would have had 5 minutes priority ban, then 10 minutes, and THEN it would be 20. Meaning that you are a regular offender. So ya, ban worthy.

You don't get punished by Leaverbuster for only one incident. You get punished when you show a history of leaving/disconnecting from multiple games. The fact that you have received the 20 minute wait time shows that you have left multiple games in the past.

Also, Leaverbuster doesn't care for the reason you left, nor does it care if you came back after being gone for a significant amount of time. Even if you come back, being gone for even a few minutes puts your team at a disadvantage, and can give the enemy team a lead that they can snowball off of very quickly.
