So Riot, are we going to completely revise what stands for "zero tolerance" now?

If I tell a single person to kill themselves I'm looking at a 14 day ban minimum. If I insult someone based on their race/gender/sexuality/religion, I'm looking at the same. But when your own employee tells that to thousands of your players, he's not getting even a slap on the wrist. Not even being forced into a half-assed apology.

If this asshat keeps his job even a day longer, you might as well unban each and every account locked away because of hate speech or encouraging suicide. And before any overzealous mod locks this for "witch hunting": I'm not directly saying that someone should be fired. I'm just saying that someone working at Riot is happily spewing words they consider unacceptable at the vast majority of their player base and getting away scot-free. How does that reflect on Riot's image, reputation and overall integrity?

If morality has a high ground, it also has a low ground. In terms of morality, then, Riot is living in the Marianas Trench.

Sanjuro insults T1, who was ID banned, and who Riot hated, is fired for it. DZK insults MOST OF THE COMMUNITY, calls them MANBABIES, tells them to SEA LION SOMEWHERE ELSE, retweets something telling them to ACTUALLY KILL THEMSELVES, and STILL HAS A FUCKING JOB?!

THINKING EMOJI?!!??!??

Riot cares more about politics than they do their players. That's the only way this makes sense. Next patch will add build the wall and MAGA to the instabanned zero tolerance words, lmao.

I hope some of you realizes that Twitter and LoL chat are 2 different platforms with different goals.

Anyone who is complaining feel free to go to twitter and write your homophobic racist whatever comments you want, i guarantee you will not get punished in LoL for it.

Also, a person can have his own opinion about things, he did not talk in the name of Riot, he talked as a random person, who just happens to work at Rito. Of course Riot can make moves in this matter, but in no way is obliged to do it. If the guy would have said it in a LoL game, thats a totally different matter and his account should be banned. I hope you do not want to live in a world, where you will get fired from your job, just because YOUR opinion doesn't match the political views of the company. (Sadly these things already happened in the past, hopefully will never again.)

If you find a particular tweet inappropriate you can report it on the twitter platform, and they will make the necessary steps.

Ps.: I personally found the tweet about meeting in the turbine hilarious, anyone who takes it serious should take a chill pill :D

i've never seen such a large red herring in a post before...

color me impressed!

why would they have a problem with what an employee says _ outside of the game_ just because they have rules against that behaviour being displayed in the game? that makes 0 sense

You know what they say, kill one person and you're a murderer. Kill millions and you're a conqueror.

Riot will never admit wrongdoing but they’ll sure as hell be all godlier-than-thou on its entire player base when it comes to rolling out punishments~

Either this kid needs to be shown no empathy/sympathy and have the “zero tolerance” door shut in his face or riot needs to make it up to the community by actually listening to players and reforming a broken punishment system that relies on an arbitrary AI~ ( though unbanning worldwide, even on a probationary period, would be pretty amazing and would be taking a step in the right direction for reforming a screwed system)

we saw something like this before with marc merrill. insted of perma banning himself and the people he played with for boosting him. he gave like 10k to some charity and some stupid apology. if funny how they say one thing and do another. its not right at all.
