toxic matchmaking

Seriously bronze 5 which Ive been stuck in for years now... is just a cesspool of getting 1 win and then being matched against smurfs and boosters while trolls proliferate. There are little to no repercussions for toxic behavior as any punishment can be avoided by just making a new account or having different accounts you rotate. If you say something, you are pegged as being toxic and downvoted or your account becomes the focal point of the troll ire and even more non stop bad matches as well as just horrific people end up being placed with you.

I am not saying I am a great player by any means, but when on a team that actually picks decently and plays decently I can avg a bit over 50% win rate. However, finding that in bronze is like trying to find diamonds in a volcano. Sure it might happen but you get burned out so badly just trying to stay alive it makes the game not fun. Which is antithetical to game mechanics.

It seems the more you complain, the worse your matches get as well. Like they funnel people who try to actually show toxic behavior, into groups with extra toxic behaviors. Maybe riot is hoping to have more toxic behaviors reported... I have no idea. Having streaks of 5-20 games of horribly bad matches is discouraging and actually encourages people to become toxic as they get frustrated. They should rename the low elo to troll incubator.

Cycling between accounts doesn't actually stop punishment progression. You can be banned for 2 weeks. Serve it. Not come back for a year, and if you misbehave still, get a perm. All cycling does is waste time or money working on other accounts.

There's no reason you'd have more trolls or less boosters than the other team though.

Honest question; why not just play normals? If you find the ranked experience so bad then maybe avoid it for a bit?

Matchmaking is done purely by MMR. There's no reason why it would be linked to chat or IFS, especially as Riot have consistently said they're against that kind of prisoner's island setup.

the negative behavior is the same throughout all levels. Just mute all, you will enjoy yourself more.
