Another "gem" for what I got chat restriction

So midlaner who went to gank our bot lane died in the mid way became outrageous that we didn't protect him ?!?! He started cursing me (support) for not putting wards therefore he died. Well, it wasn't just flaming and cursing me. In fact he was extremely toxic and was cursing me and my family for the rest of the game in disgusting words. You hardly can find more toxic player than him. He also promised to report me for the text below.

ps. Apparently it was me and not him who got punished. The moral of the situation - either mute from start or don't expect reasonableness from RIOT moderators.

The real moral of the story: Don't engage in hostile pissing matches with idiots. Nobody ever wins.

Seriously, your mid got pissed, but that warrants maybe 0-1 responses from you. Not an entire conversation, in which you tell him "fuck you", ask him to AFK (presumably because you think he's useless), wish bannings upon him, and repeatedly engage him. Nothing you said helped (Indeed, at the end you blame the loss on him flaming, which wouldn't make any sense if you hadn't argued in the first place). He certainly doesn't seem innocent here, but neither do you.

And also, the meta very much favors mid laners ganking bot lane for early tower pressure and double kills. While not something to flame over, it's troubling that you never seem to actually buy sightstone. If I were the Malzahar, I'd be pissed about lack of ward coverage, too.

+1 I agree what you said. Though when somebody is flaming not just you but your whole family, you know, that's a different matter. Beside, I didn't flame him, i was only sarcastic, yet that wasn't enough to prevent NAZI moderators.

Umm post other logs Also mods don't manage the punishment the bot does

most of this is detailing how his team wasnt doing what they were supposed to do. if some one isnt doing what they are supposed to do how is hopeing they get banned toxic that is the height of hypocracy

hmm .. this only has a little bit of passive-aggressiveness in it. So it'll be impossible for this to be the only thing that got you punished.

There is probably a game 2 & 3 which you are hiding. We also don't know the contents of your pre/post game chat.

That was the 1st game off my 3 games counted as flaming. The other 2 I somewhat agree, even they were somewhat moderate BM. Thought the other two games feeders reported me for telling them them they were scrubs and ELO HELL (which they most obviously were, so technically i told the true).

The whole package is to show you recent examples that were out of line. One game on its own rarely gets someone punished.

As I said, I agree with other 2 cases, so I don't see the reason to examine them. I am not proud of it. There were 3 games on which I was punished, but this one was the 1st in the line.
Was it a reason open my case based on this game ? Well, debatable, especially when RIOT can read the whole chat and not just only my respond to really sever toxic and disgusting flaming on my family. I wish RIOT could give a log for a whole chat to show the toxicity of the guy flamed me and my family.

You don't need to see what they did again to see what you were doing was out of line. Part of the beauty of the system they have is that it's completely impartial, judging you the exact same way as it judges me and that other guy. In effect, you're not judged by how much better than him you were, but how much worse than me (and everyone else who has ever played) you were.

You could have handled it better, but by the sound of things you've at least been trying to improve your behavior from the way you acted in the other games, so you're on the right path.

I suspect this game was first because it was the most recent, not because of any prioritization of worst log.

There is no beauty in it. Any justice system before punishing looks to circumstances. Taking things out of context without looking to reasons and circumstances is a partiality. Non of the respectful justice system works that way.

The thing is, there's no context that justifies being toxic. The proper response is always muting, not flaming back.

You were right on point in your last paragraph, mute from the start a avoid the hassle altogether.

I'm guessing that you are implying that this is a quasi-criminal situation, as opposed to a civil situation. (Civil cases do look at the circumstances.) Now if you are comparing this case to a criminal situation, then I would submit that perhaps you didn't stick around past the guilty verdict on that case you were sitting in on. After a verdict is passed in a criminal case, the circumstances, mitigating and otherwise, are considered in the sentencing portion.

The circumstances were looked at before you even started the game.

In legal systems there's a concept about responding appropriately to the situation. Use excessive force is one example. Now, what do you think would be the court ruling if you started punching some guy back when you had the ability to make it so he couldn't punch you at all? Same as league's response, you'd be punished too, because it'd be excessive.

this system punishes based on serverity x consistency. which means super toxic in a few games or mild toxicity over tonnes of games. Most the time people are punished for some moderate + mild games together. This was an example of a mild game, which so happened to be the game that tips you over the threshold.

If they had a "punishment scale" you would have been sitting on the "1 more bad game and you'd be punished" mark.

Also understand that you aren't just punished for 3 games. The reform card shows 1-3 recent games of unacceptable behavior as example only, it doesn't mean that you aren't validly reported in more than those 3 games.

Perhaps, the mistake was not putting this in chat: "muting Malz because he is tilting me", proceeding to mute him, and then getting on with playing the game (as opposed to putting down all that stuff in chat, which allowed others plus Malz to report you).
