My main account got banned on the Boards for no discernible reason.

I made a post with my main account, Melledoneus, 2 days ago. The post was meant to be satirical, and was in Memes&Games, with an obviously edited moderator "you posted in the wrong section and we removed your post" message. This was meant to be just for laughs, but the mods removed it for "baiting players or mods" and gave me a one day suspension. I took the ban because I thought, okay, I just need to make it clear that this was not real.

I posted it the day after, this time with a disclaimer that this was not real, I was not a mod, it was purely for satirical purposes, and not meant for slandering or misrepresenting any Riot Games staff. This time, I thought, nobody would be baited and everyone could enjoy the joke.

I got a 7 day suspension ban for the same reason. I doubt the mod who banned it even read the post or even cared. I listened to their reasoning and I amended the post to meet the criteria and I got banned for the same reason. I even submitted a support ticket but I have not gotten a response yet and m losing help.

Please help me understand how the heck I was baiting anybody by making an honest, light-hearted joke post. I am starting to suspect bias towards certain posts and until I get a real explanation for a 7 day suspension on my Boards account, I will feel as if my voice is not being heard. If an explanation cannot be provided, I will be content with the suspension being lifted so I can re-join the Community on the Boards.

Please help me out.

So here's the thing. Your post wasn't removed for impersonating a Moderator. It was for posting an image of a removal message that made it look like a Moderator told you something that no Moderator would ever tell you to do.

That's not OK.

That's why it was removed in the first place with a suspension. Reposting it with a disclaimer saying you're not a Moderator doesn't change the image implying we told a player something we would never say.

If you've submitted a ticket for this, that's good. You can discuss it further with them. I just want to make it clear to everyone this wasn't a removal for impersonating a Moderator.

You've had threads deleted for the same reason 9 times since the 1st of this month. That's ample warning prior to action.

If I had to guess, I'd say it's probably because that's in violation of forum rules.

Impersonation

Moderators will look for instances of community members impersonating:

  • Other Community Members
  • Other Players
  • Moderators
  • Rioters

Even as a joke, it's likely not permitted.

Lol. Welcome to ban town. Population: You and about 4 of my alts. Don't worry though. Unless you go out of your way for it, it's not easy to get forum perma. It's like not in game punishments on an escalating scale. The punishments are at discretion of the one dealing them out and usually pretty fair.
