The permaban system message

Hi guys, so recently I've been seeing people talk about a "System Message" in regards to them being permabanned.

It basically tells you that you have been permabanned due to a decision reached by Riot.

As a result I wanted to both spread awareness of this and gain information regarding it.

Would someone be so kind as to explain the difference between this message and an official Riot message for myself and other people to know enough about the issue?

They will not msg you in game ever. For a few reasons it will always be an email. If someone got a msg saying they were perma'd they would most likely int feed and afk.

People are using the new "Emote" feature to troll. Just ignore it and remove the friend trolling.

Riot would not send a message via client while logged in via chat. Instead you may get a pop up saying "your account has been suspended, please re log for more information." At which point you will probably see why the ban came in. It may also force a log out.

Riot would never message you anywhere but in the client as a pop-up. Additionally, if you are still unsure about a message, just check your email.
