Forums seem to have toxic individuals trying to upset others

I've posted a couple threads today and don't usually get this kind of toxic response, is being toxic on forums the new thing? I was browsing other peoples threads who were making fair and civil points but everyone seem'd to respond to the posts with the same toxicity and negativity that you would expect from people who are banned. Not only are people dodging discussion to trash talk, i've noticed that when someone makes a point that isn't exactly popular they're berated and told that what they're saying is wrong. I thought forums were for people who were searching for help and insight, seems today like a bunch of passive aggressive trolls trying to further upset people under the board for players behavior. Don't believe me? Sort posts by down/up vote. People make fair points just because you disagree doesn't mean you get to berate them because it's the forums.

What are you talking about?

I do hope you realize that making a thread with this title is quite likely to attract the "toxic individuals" you're talking about.

Quit trying to have the last word on everything and you can stop getting responses that annoy you.

At this point, you are literally just attacking everyone who doesn't instantly agree with you. Isn't that exactly the kind of thing you made this topic to address? You've even resorted to replying TO YOURSELF to continue berating other people for not thinking the same way as you do. Of particular note, your responses to Disregardable in this very topic.

From where I stand, you appear to be the one incapable of holding an open discussion.

The irony of someone criticizing people being toxic on the boards. When they proceed to act just the same, or even worse.

Can you give us your definition of "fair and civil points" please?

OP, after briefly reviewing the links and from my unbiased opinion, you're being way too sensitive about comments on the forums.

If you're going to insult the general population in your post (ie, you cry babies still had the option to shut us up yourself), you cannot expect to get ALL respectful responses in return. Somehow, you did still get some good responses, and I think the forums succeeded in providing a reasonable discussion. Yes, a few people were jerks, but you are being inflammatory. You are also calling out people that did nothing wrong.

Maybe don't be toxic and have very vague and pointless responses in said discussions, then accuse them of trolling because they aren't 100% agreeing with your tinfoil hat theories?

Not expecting high IQ or a deep intellectual exchange from people who have to communicate through Gif's and memes, just basic civility but then again I am on riots website so that was never going to happen.
