account in good standing since season 1

I have one bad game and get chat restricted, which if fine, shouldnt have told that kid he was trash, but now it turns out I can't get end season rewards since it was 1 week before season end? is there any way to redeem my account, or am I just screwed, because of the timing? I was honor level either 3 or 4 before restriction, and never had an issue in going on 10 years. seems a little overkill to just be stripped of everything from a single game, when my track record is solid and I've worked all year getting these rewards.

Short version; you're just screwed. With all of five days left before season's end, you're just gonna have to do better next year.

As KVbqbFsC8e pointed out, this isn't new. It was first implemented in 2017 with the Honor System rework, and it's been consistently applied in the years after (2018, 2019), so it should be well-known by this point that Honor Level 2 is a prerequisite for End of Season rewards.

And the principle concept behind it has been around even before the Honor System rework; before Honor 2.0, if you got punished at the tail end of the year, or otherwise had an active punishment at the cutoff date (which was separate from the actual end of the season, about a month or so back), you'd lose Ranked reward eligibility.

And I've been playing the game for a good 4-5~ years now, and it has been a thing since I started playing, doubtless even before that. You can climb Ranked all year long, but if you get punished at the tail end of the season, that climb is effectively meaningless.

The only thing the Honor System did was streamlined it. It's tied to the actual end of the season instead of a behavioral cutoff date a month or so before, and players who are consistently dishonorable can be disqualified even before the season nears its end.

You may think it's overkill, but it's a fair expectation: A competitive mode comes with the expectation of sportsmanlike behavior. Display unsportsmanlike behavior, and you don't get rewards for the competitive mode.

when my track record is solid and I've worked all year getting these rewards.

So if i have a good track record and break the law should i be above the law for this one time because i have a good track record?

Situations like these suck because they would never put in a system to do that, they would just tell you "You should have just kept a cool head and not said what you said" :/

Yeah, thats how it works. You have to be honor level 2 to get rewards. Its been like that for a couple of seasons now, it isn't some sort of new thing.

I don't know about what you think of as solid track record, but only being honor 3 or 4 close to the end of the season doesn't spell solid track record.

It spells being moderatly consistently minor toxic over many games.

But honor being reset isn't a "repeat offender" punishment. 14 day ban and Perma ban are.

Honor reset is the first time offender punishment. It essentially IS your warning. Sucks to lose those rewards, but I have a feeling it won't happen to you again.
