PSA: Ascension "hostage" exploit is BANNABLE.
Just a notification in the hopes of teaching the community of the dangers of "unorthodox" toxic behaviour before its too late.
WHAT IS THIS VIDEO ABOUT?
Recently, someone submitted a video of an exploit in ascension. I wont describe all the steps here, but in essence - the exploit denies the enemy team any way of actually playing the game. They cannot recall to base and they cannot kill their opponents, neither can they capture ascension points.
Do you understand what this means? Essentially: you either leave the game (afk) or you surrender.
"But cant you just kill the enemy team and win with points?"
If you cannot kill your opponent no matter what, then how would you go about this?
"But then the enemy team will win in no time - no problem!"
Except that they also refuse to capture points or directly attack enemies. They avoid killing opponents, never even dropping them low on health. They also refuse to capture ascension points, meaning NEITHER TEAM IS GAINING ANY POINTS.
You are stuck with starter equipment for the entirety of the match. We're talking stuff like dorans blade + long sword vs a Garen with Warmogs Armor, Sunfire cape, Dead man's place, Spirit visage and mercury treads.
Do you seriously think you will be able to kill this guy with your puny little dorans blade?
DISCLAIMER: I am not denying that this strategy is ingenious. It is definitely smart. But it is also a loophole - an exploit.
It could be compared to support smite Nunu or support smite Singed. This kind of behaviour goes against the terms of conduct that EVERYONE agrees to with every single new patch released.
