I know sometimes its an accident but if they do it to troll is that reportable? had a kha go like 2/8 and be rude the whole game and didn't take smite - just curious on the opinions here since smite is REQUIRED to perform the roll properly no matter what champion you are playing.

The fact he was rude is reportable.

To be fair it is not a requirement, or else by that logic it should lock it if you chose to play Jungle, or select a jungle champion. With that said it is not punishable for someone to not take a certain summoner spell. Sometimes people forget and to get ban just for a mistake like that is just idiotic. Sometimes people want to try and play jungle without Smite.

Trolling is reportable. However, you have to prove it. Smite isn't a requirement and thus by itself isn't reportable.

Not entirely true. Nunu and Cho'Gath can jungle just fine without it through their Q and Ult (although Cho's early game will struggle), and a lot of other junglers can clear the jungle without Smite. In fact, there was one game I played as Kindred, forgot Smite, and won us the early game on an invade because I still had Heal from playing bot lane and the enemy jungler didn't.

I'll agree that it's REALLY helpful, but not having it isn't reportable as long as the player is still trying their best to win the game.

well i just got a chat ban for this, riot are a bunch of idiotic kids, if you MUST take smite as a jungle how about it be a bloody locked in summoner spell if you are a jungler?!!?!??! LOGIC RIOT!

Idea: Give the player in the Jungle role the Unsealed Spellbook ability limited to switch-in Smite before stepping out onto the grass for the first time.

A thousand tragedies averted.
