This post is meant to be a comprehensive guide to the behavior system in LoL, it will cover:

A) The Report System B) The Punishment System C) FAQs

If your question is not addressed, please comment below and I will do my best to get back to you.

First things first, how does the report system work? It is actually fairly simple. If someone reports someone, the game is automatically placed for review. It doesn't matter if it was one person reporting someone or every single one of the other nine players, it carries the same weight.

Speaking of weight, are reports weighted? In other words, is my report worth something different than my friends? Or an opponents?

No. All reports flag a game for review, no matter who does it.

The next thing to talk about is The Punishment System.

The punishment system works on a scaling system. It works like this.

First offense: 10 game chat restriction Second offense: 25 game chat restriction Third offense: 2 week ban Fourth offense: Permanent ban

If you get any of these, when you log in, a message will pop up saying what you did, what the punishment is and show any chat logs that are relevant.

The message will then warn you that your next punishment will be the next one up the ladder.

It is possible to fall back through punishment tiers as you reform.

For example: Your got off your two week ban and then were not toxic for a year. You are then toxic one night and log in the next morning to see that you are banned, but instead of a permanent ban, it is another two week ban.

FAQs

Q:I had no prior offenses and was suddenly perma banned? Why is this?

A:You probably did something really bad. It is possible to escalate punishment tiers. Words Like F%%%%% N%%%%% and Kys are enough to get an instant perma ban.

Q: I was recently perma banned, is there any wat to reverse this?

A: No, unless the ban was a mistake, there is no reversing it. You are free to make a new account though.

Q: I spent a lot of money on this account, shouldn't this make me harder to ban?

A: No, money spent has no effect on the ban system.

Q: I was just defending myself, shouldn't that make me exempt?

A: No, everyone is held accountable for their own actions. If you have any questions, ask below.

You know league has the most punished player base of any online game, yet it has the worst community of any online game, why is that?

That is more a rhetorical question, the answer is because the tribunal system is completely and utterly flawed, and filled with liberal bias.

The only things that are punished are people saying "mean things" that hurt the poor feelings of others, yet people who cheat and script are rarely punished.

why is that? Probably because riot's only interest is keep as many players in the game as possible so they can keep up their revenue, as money is the only thing they care about, and the player base is the least of their concerns, only the fuel to keep them rolling is what matters.

I have a question. You don't have a RIOT tag, so what makes you qualified to describe the rules in place?
