I get that supports get mistreated but this is ridiculous lol

Just had a game where my team made me tank dragon because I couldn't do any damage to it, because I was the support they said. I tried to go ward the enemy jungle while they did dragon, because their jungler was up, and they furiously pinged and wouldn't start it without me tanking it. They kept making me be the frontline when I was a squishy support, so that while the enemy team murders me they could win the teamfight. Obviously I'd die and get no assists this way, and they would talk shit about my KDA all game. "trolol 0/8 support gg." This is actually how a lot of games go. Not all my games are like this, but there are two reasons this game stood out to me by far.

  1. We had a Garen on our team. Why am I the tank?
  2. **I WAS A FUCKING SORAKA. **

How about you guys tank dragon and I'll heal off the damage? Let me stay in the back, nobody has to die. Don't recall in that bush after I rush top to heal you and save you, now they're attacking me. I actually had this said to me: "You have warmogs, so you're the tank." The flipping Garen said this to me lol. We won after thirty five minutes, but it was a 5v4 all game, the enemy ADC didn't connect. We really didn't deserve to win at all. I'm fine with BM toward the support. Go ahead and blame me for your mistakes, I can mute you. But don't smite the siege minion when i have relic shield and am attacking it. Don't do things that will cost us the game :/

Let the supports support you, guys. Don't make it like pulling teeth.

Yea - the rage and hate is so strong in ranked, I just quit. An imaginary border in a video game isn't worth me being verbally abused and treated like garbage. Also, support is the hardest role to carry from. Unless, you're playing Naut, Blitz or some other 'play making' support, if your team sucks, you will lose.

Lately I've been playing a TON of soraka and getting all S ranks. In so many of my games the enemy team complains in all chat about "Soraka da real mvp" or "Soraka carry" because she just ruins every Assassin's day and that's the world we live in right now. As a support main I've felt more loved since I started playing Soraka again after her changes than basically ever before. Saving team mates nets me "God soraka saves" and loads of honor at the end of each match.

I'm sorry you got a nasty team man, but people love Raka. Just keep truckin and you'll find the greener pastures of ADCs that know how to farm and harass around your heals and teams that appreciate the heals during extended teamfights.

Just because you are not a traditionally "tank" champion, does not mean you cannot become a tank. You itemize based on the champion, your playstyle, and your role in teamfights. It is the same with the idea that Blitzcrank can build AP and become a nuker, and Soraka can build tank items and become a damage soak. My point is don't get to stubborn about what role **you think you have to play **versus what role you can play

Basically if you're going to build Warmogs and assuming you're going to abuse the passive, other tank items, you become a tank. When you are taking dragon there is nothing wrong with tanking it, I tank dragon if nobody else does regardless of my role. The main idea is to get it down as fast as you can. Regardless of being a tankRaka you should have excellent positioning as a champion who will sacrifice their health to heal others. Ideally, you should be at the back of the dragon pit before the teamfight starts and rotate as your team heads in. If the team focuses you as a tankRaka it is negligent and they cost themselves the game because the heals of a tankRaka are less than adequate the longer the game ensues, where you become a cc bot (your slow and silence).

As someone who plays Soraka both mid lane and support (I don't recommend anybody doing it midlane unless they know what they're doing), I build full AP and make sure to not get hit by the enemy team. If I die my team dies because it will take only a few hits to kill me, but my heals can completely negate the damage the enemy team does to my team if I live. If I was a tankRaka it would take a long time to kill me and thus I could be more lax on my positioning.

If you build tank, you are a tank. The less damage your team takes the better. You should have had placed one ward in the enemy jungle as you were walking to dragon pit, and being Soraka and not being near your team at all times is something that can cost you the game.

As a Soraka you should be highly active, your Q does damage, your E does damage, you don't only have the job of warding and healing. You must I see many Sorakas go tank blindly and don't even think about touching any utility based items like Arden Censor or ZZrot.

A good support will do their job but conflict with their team. A great support will have done everything that is needed to be done before your team can complain.

The worst I've ever had was tanking 1st dragon for about 1-2 hits because the jungler needed to chase off the enemy real fast, since it was quick and Sona has poke and a heal (laughable one at that I know...) it wasn't too bad. I wasn't forced to do it; did it because I got dragon's aggro for a second.

Leaving after Baron, for one, is to be expected. Typically in my games (I can only play normals, below level 30. But I have a few ranked friends who bring in some real pros into the normals), they return to lane after drag. I do that, too, healing before they back.

When your ADC backs, it tends to be a good idea to back as well. This might be situational, though. A good ADC will understand there's only so much Soraka can do 2v1 in what I assume is early laning phase.

As for the Warmogs... I guess Warmong's confuses me with Soraka. People might be busting your butt for going off-meta. However, you could go with an item that better suits Soraka's playstyle. Warmog's... yes Warmog's does have that insane health. But to use its passive, you need a huge health pool (3000+). And there's other items with better passives that offer maybe half the health but more AP and even better: passives that suit mages like Soraka. Warmogs covers a weakness, yes. But with that item slot, you could also boost her strengths.

As for the Garen, yes... I get why he's mad, but that's the behavior that costs you the game. You'll die. And by leaving you to die, he's helping feed kills. That Garen will not go far with his attitude.

Also, this is a good place to discover items you need. http://gameinfo.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/game-info/items/ Filtering health and AP might be a good idea and experiment with item builds. Ofc the highest health there is 400.

Good luck and happy Soraka ing.

lol

quite a high level of sophistication in the chat there

normally those kind of detailed statements dont go out in game

anyways, next time be a man/woman and be like "no"

if they want to be idiots they can

it's on you for letting them tell you what to do

Lauchmelder3/15/2016, 9:42:38 AM1 votes

Obvious solution: Don't build Warmogs on Soraka

Or play something tanky, so you can give them the finger in case they disrespect you.
