Question on Chat Restriction

Repost: Can someone explain to me how calling others a noob is reportable? I get cussed at, lied about, racist remarked, and I get reported for calling someone a noob? I'm tired of everyone being so harassing and abusive, and if I say "noob" I get a 25 game chat ban? seriously? I need an opinion. I'm not saying I don't swear when I get mad, I do but that is only after I get harassed and sworn at and so many other negative things. This is completely unfair.

I don't take screenshots of all the games I play. This is what Riot sent me. "25 Chat Restrictions mikho, You have received restrictions following an audit of your recent in-game behavior. In your recent games, you used in-game chat to create a poor experience for others. As a result, your account has received a number of restrictions. If your behavior does not improve, you will continue to receive more severe punishments eventually leading to a permanent ban. Keep in mind that there’s no excuse to be rude or hurtful to others. You will find examples of your offending chat logs below:

If for whatever reason a game is not going well or another player is being hurtful, remember you should not argue with others or retaliate. Instead, just mute those players; stop talking to them; and report them at the end of the game.

They were swearing the whole game and called me a feeder and they were telling the other team to report me for racist remarks. I'm sick and tired of trolls.

You say you are tired of people harassing and abusing, but that is exactly what you did. Mute/ignore them and report them at the end if you see fit and move on. You accomplish nothing by engaging with them and in many cases are going to escalate the situation. Retaliation is not acceptable in league. Other people behaving poorly is not an excuse for your own bad behavior.

The chat ban system is in place to catch more than bad words or offensive words.

Alot of what you said prior to the word noob could easily be considered negative attitude at best and harassment at worst (i dont have the full context to go on, only your version of events)

As far as riot is concerned someone responding negatively to negative behavior is just as guilty as the person who started it.

Just mute play the game and report after in the future. Im not saying i agree 100% with riots philosophy on this but it is what is currently in place and unfortunately it seems alot of normally well behaved people respond to a negative player and get punished for it because of this.
