Sent in a ticket with a screenshot of a lobby hostage taker (think it was TP/ghost draven support). Received this unsatisfactory response. Riot's admitting here that it's my job to avoid the queue with the asshat? Come on now...

Hey there Summoner,

Thanks for reporting this in! We can't take full disciplinary action on reports that are sent in through tickets such as this, but we did create the Instant Feedback System in order to track players that are continuously creating negative experiences for other players such as the one you've just reported.

Even if you didn't use the report feature, please continue doing so when you can. Reports can escalate players to our attention for our investigation and will eventually bring them close to punishment. From there we can hopefully reform their behavior. Sometimes, you'll even get a little notification from the IFS with the outcome of when you reported a player in the past.

As far as this player goes, because they engaged in some pretty offensive behavior, I will be conducting an investigation on the account. Due to privacy concerns, however, I won't be able to disclose any information regarding disciplinary action that I may take on it. In the meantime, if you could provide any more information regarding this player's behavior, that would help out a ton!

In my opinion, if I end up getting queued with an offensive player more than once, I like to take a break to make sure that I accidentally don't matched with them again. Getting paired up with players like this can be super frustrating.

Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions.

Dude, calm yourself. They gave you a very diplomatic response and said they'd look into that player and here you are blasting them for giving you a tip on how to avoid that player.

The last tidbit that you're raging about is a response to help YOU deal with this so you don't have to sit through a game you don't want to play IF someone else dodges. It's actually a very intelligent response. They're not telling you to dodge or get lost. They're telling you that if the opportunity presents itself, get the hell out and enjoy your life. Edit: If you mean you got paired in two games back to back, a break doesn't mean anything more than about 3 minutes. Usually players q up right after.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Round 1 of the "I'm an entitled brat" award goes to LumberJack for thinking that Riot owes him a super special response and a follow up phone call on when this player was banned. Possibly not receiving a gold star helped tipped the scales in his favor this round.

Tune in next time for Round 2 of the "I'm an entitled brat" contest.
