Delete In Game Chat

I just played a game in ranked, where this kid "JG" was upset because someone else told him to not solo baron. They got into a huge fight over it. The guy went AFK, and when he returned he decided to just farm and not help out at all. I think that League should disable in game chat, the community is so negative and once you start fighting you end up losing. You can use pings to say what you need to say anyway. No one ever uses the game chat in a positive way, and I am hoping that this can be banned, taken out however you want to put it. Does anyone else agree?

This idea is so terrible why would anyone come up with this. If it is never used in a positive way then you're doing something wrong. How are we supposed to congratulate good play, or tell them you're splitting and not get caught or wait til you're alive to fight. Or tell them to back. Sometimes missing, careful, target, or on the way aren't good enough to create good play. Those are just basic pings.

I see what you're saying, but I am not.a negative person, I use it to.say good things, but a lot of people don't and you do.end up playing worse. I think their is way to many toxic people.then.there is positive. Maybe riot can create.better pings.

Why would you remove chat? League is a team game. Just mute players if they aren't contributing to teamwork.

I agree with you it is a team game. By the time you're muting someone which is for a bad reason, you are already playing bad. The.moment someone is attacking you it effects both players, the.one who.wrote.it and the one.who read it. Then on top of that you have people who.want to.add on. So now it.becomes a roast. I play with mostly people I know, and just the other day they used the chat to talk bad about each other, so imagine people who dont.know you.

I agree something should be done about this, I was talking to a friend and he said you can mute chat. By the time you want to mute the chat you already on full tilt. This affects people's emotions, and they always end up playing worse. In ranked I see so many negative comments before you hear a good job.

this would say a bunch of time for people like me who would rather /mute all for all games, than to do it on a game by game basis. tbh it does actually help me focus on my own gameplay rather than seeing someone call me trash because i got dove by a fiora with ignite at lvl 2 when im under 1/3rd hp.

I agree with you, that is what I'm saying. You can focus on your game instead of the negative comments flying left and right. It's usually the whole team that wants to add their two sense in it too. Instead of writing something bad and making someone feel worse, they could have taken that time to write something better and it would help your mood. No one wants to die or make a mistake, and sometimes you get outplayed but is the negativity helpful it isn't.

I know it does exist but it isn't a solution to the problem if you see or hear anyone speak about league they say how toxic the community is. You can report all day but it won't get everyone banned. Muting doesn't always solve the case, you're muting someone and then you see someone else jump on the negative bandwagon and now u muting ur whole team. At that point, everyone is upset already. What about the people who use chat to help the other team, I've also seen that someone being so tilted they're helping the enemy team. You give someone freedom of speech and expect people to use it in the wrong way. NO one really uses the chat for positivity, I use voice chat most of the time why can't we have voice chat instead, people won't feel as comfortable speaking to someone wrong. A lot of people are cyber bullies and they pretty much won't act like that if they speak to a real person. I don't know what the solution is I am saying there is a problem and muting and reporting don't work, I play league to have fun and half the time I am upset with the negative comments.

Riot will never remove a feature from the game just because a jerk decides to abuse it and use it to be a jerk. Instead they'll just simply remove the jerk.
