Reportable Builds

What do you guys think? Are some builds reportable even if the player is trying to win?

Some examples of weird and controversial builds: Mpen Garen AP Lucian Anti-bruiser Bruiser Lux Support Lissandra with full ap and no sightstone or gold income item

why am I getting down voted for asking a question? there's just a lot of people saying completely opposite things about this so I'm curious

No.

So there's no point at which a player's build can show the player is trolling?

ModWulf Helhammer2 votes

Yeah, if the person is actually trolling. Going off meta is never any reason to report

The question isn't about going off meta but rather about builds. Is ap yasuo off meta or is it a troll build? Is there such a thing as a troll build? That's what I want to find out.

Only if it's legit trolling like Tyler 1 blue draven 6 tears, porstar zillean, disco nunu, shaclone blue shen. There's a difference between off meta and troll builds. Mpen garen. That's a troll build because garen is all physical and even if it's for the ult, it does jack shit. AP Lucian is off meta.lissandra support with no support item is just someone who doesn't know how mage support works.

I agree with you 100%. I want to better understand the difference between troll and off meta builds. There's a lot of conflicting statements about this topic so I want to try to sift through the murk.

Troll builds are typically done when someone is intentionally trying to lose the game. They will typically either build such as that they can die faster (boots and ms items), or something with a negative connotation to it (all tears, multiple boots, etc)

Off meta is something that isn't normally done or even accepted, and oftentimes isn't optimal, but you are playing the game and still trying to win. The advantage to doing this are that you can surprise people by not doing what is expected so they won't know how to play against it.
