Improve yourself! Don't let toxicity get you down!

I feel like this board needs some positive posts.

You're in a game and something toxic is going on. It could be a player harassing you or someone intentionally feeding. Here's some simple things I do to improve game play and reduce toxic levels.

Play your hardest - Do this every game. I know nobody likes losing. Go in a game with a champion you're comfortable with and keep trying until the nexus is dead.

Mute - I can't stress this enough. If someone if bothering you theres a little button on the scoreboard that stops chat. Do this and continue to play the game.

Say nice things even if you don't want to - EVERYONE has had a bad game. If you are in a game with someone that is doing bad, cheer them up. I'm sure you don't need to tell them they're 1-4 and not doing their job. Make a point to say nice things. I usually go with "Damn, nice try", "Stay safe and ill come help you soon", or don't say anything at all.

Don't be a part of the problem - There is no need for "You're bad", "uninstall" or "this (lane) sucks". Don't argue back with people or say things you don't need to. It's not worth it.

Help people out - This is a team game. If you are able to help another lane do so. Mid can gank both top and bottom lanes. Bot and top can both gank mid. Use teamwork. Strength in numbers.

Practice - Don't go into a ranked game blind. Know the champion you're playing. Spend a week doing normal games until you've come up with a good strategy for the champion you intend on playing. Not sure if you're playing correctly? Check out guides online. Maybe someone else has a tip or two that you can learn.

Make friends not enemies - Have a good game with someone? Friend them. Play with them. Strength in numbers and better coordination.

TIPS FOR GAMEPLAY - These things make everyone happy!

Map awareness - Pay attention to your map. Early gank can throw a lane or jungler off. Make sure if you notice something make a move quick.

Ward - I cannot stress this enough. I see too many supports not warding or buying sightstones. Pick a spot and put your ward there every time its up. Everyone has access to a warding trinket. Put it to good use. As a support make sure you buy a sightstone. It might not help your damage output but a well placed ward could be the difference in life or death for your teammates.

Understand where you are in the game - A score of 2-0 and 0-2 is a difference. If you're 0-2 playing like you're 2-0 then you will continue downwards.

Don't Die - Easier said than done. At low elo its better to go back with 500hp and regroup than to give the enemy a potential kill. Don't overstay your welcome.

Research - Go online and watch games. Study how people play and the tips they give.

There will always be trolls. There's no way to avoid it. Do your best always and keep your head up. Don't be a part of the problem.. Be the solution.

I'm tired of these posts that blame the players that are innocently queing into matches and losing because of griefers. Stop blaming the players that are just trying to play ranked and climb up. Saying "GET BETTER AND IMPROVE YOURSELF." is not solving the actual issue. These players are queing into matches to grief on purpose. There is no learning or getting better.
