The "GG" Snowball

I have had too many games where someone on my team says "gg its over" when the enemy team is ahead. I personally go into a game trying to win. I treat league like I would a baseball, football, or any other sport I would play in life. I'm not willing to give up just because the enemy has an early advantage.

Now in my opinion saying "GG its over" ruins most chances of winning. In my eyes when you say that it means you have given up hope of winning and stop putting your full effort in to win. This usually leads to the "blame game" as I call it where teammates start pointing the finger at players with a negative score, non-meta builds, and anything else they can think of. This starts the "snowball" of losing.

The rest of the game ends up being a huge argument in chat the minute this happens. Nobody listens to pings or pays attention to the map. Players stop listening to each other and blindly run into enemy champions playing like they're ahead 20-0 instead of grouping up or planning a strategy. At this point it turns into a free for all with no coordination giving the enemy an even bigger advantage. This eventually leads to the teams total annihilation and loss.

And you can forget about talking sense into these players. The player blaming everyone but never taking responsibility for their own actions.

OR

They just start feeding on purpose which leads to a loss.

I have been on the receiving end of this... ignorance? denseness? mental incapacity? .. I am unable to come up with a proper word that can truly describe this toxicity. It is turning into absolute insanity. I am unable to play League of Legends and just win or lose. Every game I lose ends up being this terrible nightmare I describe.

Am I the only person experiencing this "GG Snowball" as I will call it? Or even these absurdly toxic players in such mass quantities?

I've also experienced this. I always say (in chat), "The game isn't over until the Nexus goes down."

Surrender votes at 20 when their lane is going very poorly (even when, as a team, we are ahead) tend to do the same thing.

I've played with a lot of players just blaming everybody else, like trying to 1v2 the bot lane during ganks when the ADC and support don't follow up and he continues to try to kill them.

Second game of the day today. Normal draft pick.

Zac, Blitz, Kog'maw, Ezreal, Fiora -VS- Morgana, Taliyah, Miss Fortune, Kindred ( I am kog'maw and my buddy is playing ap ez mid )

This is my my view on what happens.

I felt my team has huge potential but the Fiora picked into an Illaoi which in my opinion is a terrible pick. I still don't give up. I know kog'maws potential late game and hope to get there. I also trust my friend playing ezreal hoping he can make it to late game have have huge burst to compliment kog's sustain.

Game starts and everything is fine. I score and early kill but the blitzcrank starts roaming 5 minutes in. Goes mid and helps my buddy. They kill Taliyah and blitz scores the kill. After that for the entire game blitz roams and spends almost no time in lane leaving me 2v1 bot.

8 Minutes in Zac calls for a dragon but we lose trying to take early dragon and the enemy team scores 3 kills. In my opinion "Damn we got outplayed at dragon.. back to lane, farm, and keep goin".

Blitz come back to lane and starts a fight while were both too low to fight. We lose and I get blamed. Now I personally would not grab someone when both you and your adc and at half health and they enemy is at full health with all summoner spells.

Game continues. Blitz roams mid. Forces a 2v3 mid with my buddy. Blitz gets one kill but they both die. Blames my buddy.

Fiora starts losing top lane to Illaoi. A couple deaths and Illaoi takes tower 14 minutes and keeps pushing. Our Zac has not helped her out after the tons of pings the entire game. No wards anywhere at this point. Their team is coming down for me. Blitz heads down. Grabs Taliyah. I get bursted by the 4 people bot. Blitz get a kill but dies. I get blamed.

My entire team is arguing at this point. Blitz is bitching about Fiora losing top and zac not helping. My buddy and I are talking about how toxic league of legends is and that now we're gonna lose because here comes blitzcrank with "gg surrender 20"

Fiora stops going to lane against illaoi. Zac jungles mindlessly though has helped with a few kills bottom so i do appreciate his worth. Blitz has completely given up and is just forcing fights we cant win and arguing the entire time. First I asked him to not give up and to keep trying. I told him that ez and I are late game and illaoi wont be as strong when that happens. Teamwork will win us the game. Stop fighting fights you can't win. He responds with more harassment and I admit not I start arguing with him because at this point in my opinionHE IsS LOSING US THE GAME AND BEING TOXIC YET WILL TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR HIS OWN ACTIONS

He trys to prove that illaoi is too strong by telling me to go top. I actually go top, call my buddy from mid to help and kill illaoii with no problems.

But it continues. My buddy goes back mid and blitz follows. I hear my buddy say "WTF" followed my a " Well blitz is just running mid and standing there"... "and look at chatlook what he said . Blitz is just trolling now. He said "I'm sorry guys i tried"".

I sat bottom almost the entire game a farmed a 1v2 lane. End CS for bot was 183 Kog 186 MF yet my cs was not good enough for blitz in a 1v2 lane.

THIS. THIS is what I deal with from my side.

Leagues player base has become so large. It's full of people who play video games super casually. These people only enjoy playing if they get an easy win and if they have to put some effort forward immediately give up. ("My team isn't ahead so i quit")
