Is Riot being more aggressive in handing out punishments?
Ok. Let me preface this post by saying I am by no means angry at Riot employees for anything related to account suspensions, chat restrictions, etc. I'm making this post to ask a simple question and I hope to be more informed coming out of this.
I've been around this community for a long time (3+ years now), and like some of it's less-desirable members, I have done some very inconsiderate things in game because I failed to contain myself. I have done such things as abusing the chat feature (and sometimes abusing the /all chat feature), leaving the game (or just sitting in fountain), or forcing games to end by intentionally feeding when surrender votes didn't go my way. While I have learned from most of these outbursts (quite noticeably because a few of them led to forced 2-week breaks from the game), very recently I began incurring such penalties as 20 minute wait timers whenever League's Alpha Client would crash and my team would decide to remake. These penalties would pop up after one game where this happened and it really doesn't happen often now. But when it does, it almost isolates me from most of my friends who don't want to endure through a 20 minute wait timer just to play a game. I do not AFK anymore but I feel like I'm incurring a hefty penalty after just one time where it happens and sometimes it's from something as simple as a Client crash.
Now that you understand my personal account background my question is this: Are these penalties being incurred simply due to having been a chronic-AFKer in the past or is this happening to everyone as a result of Riot's Player Behavior Team simply stepping up and being more aggressive in handing out punishments?
