I just played a great game as support, scoring 6/5/16. We had a feeding mid laner with 14 deaths! BUT, our jungler blames me for us losing the game. I know it's only because I'm a support and players love to blame support. I hope we as a community can end the hate against supports once and for all.
I used to be a dedicated support, happy to take the "bullet" to keep my adc alive. then I started getting blamed for everything (Including not diving when my 10hp adc...who I had blown ever CD on to pull out alive...Dived a full health enemy ADC/Supp 1v2. He then threw a fit and called me a "useless support) so I stopped caring. I may play support role, but I stopped giving a shit about these egotistical tdm farmers who think the rest of the team is thier personal cheering squad/punching bag. I support those who deserve it, not on command. And certainly refuse to lay down and be ADC's personal lane-slave.
aren't junglers also in the "hated group" as well?
I usually dont blame the support unless it ACTUALLY is their fault, i.e., 20 minutes in they have a ward score of 5, and they keep getting ganked. If the support is like actually causing us to lose team fights, etc, but usually I say "ty" to the support or nothing at all.
Oh man do I agree. And if your kills are not higher than your deaths (even if your death allowed your adc to get a triple kill) then you are immediately considered a feeder.
I hate to say it, but I totally have to blame RIOT for this problem. They really need to release videos and articles that talk about this issue. It's exactly like bullying and how schools constantly have to teach kids not to do bullying. RIOT needs to teach players not to bully supports. RIOT could also punish players more often for bullying supports, that would help a lot.
Lol of course it was the jungler. He was preemptively blaming you before everyone blamed him. Junglers get the most hate easily. Hes usually the go to for blame because if he didnt gank your lane, thats why you lost 100% of the time.
