Riot recording matches: for replay value, and tribunal value.
So am I the only one who thinks it's ridiculous that Riot still doesn't support a replay feature? I've tried the 3rd party ones but they glitch a lot and often make league slower or produce lag and need constant updates. It's also ridiculous that riot doesn't record the matches for their own record, at least temporarily or if someone is reported. Right now, riot only (supposedly) uses the chat logs as the only recorded information from the game besides basic stats and item builds. How in the world are they supposed to investigate intentional feeders, partial afks, or people who just flat refuse to communicate? I just played a game with a morgana support who spammed wards directly under our towers and spammed laugh all game. As for a positive use, it would also be a great way to rewards positive players or to feature more fancy #lcsplays that we all pull off from time to time only to wish they were recorded for the interwebs.
I mean it's obviously clear that riot has the tribunal at the lowest possibly priority (been down for like half a year now or more) but there are tons of other applications that riot NEEDS a replay feature for! At the very least you should be able to view your last and most recent game so you can send a few seconds in attached to a report or feature it here on the forums as an #lcsplay highlight.
