I think my curiosity for the game first started around Season 1. I used to read a lot of webcomics around that time, and just about every webcomic has at least some sort of advertisements. Since the webcomics that I was reading at the time were gaming themed webcomics, there were a lot of advertisements for online games. Now sometimes I would click on these advertisements, and watch a trailer or two, become disinterested due to the trailer being somewhat poorly done, and then I would always close out the tab the advertisement was in. However, I saw an advertisement for League of Legends, and in the advertisement was the Season 1 Trailer. I watched the trailer, and I was floored with how the game was presented in it. However, I wasn't sure if my computer could handle it, nor was I sure if my family was comfortable with me running League of Legends on the family computer, and closed out the window with the advertisement for League of Legends, but this was my first experience with playing the game.
A couple years later, in the middle of Season 2, I went to a gaming themed camp, and saw a bunch of other players playing League of Legends. I noticed that they were having fun with the game, and even though I didn't play it at the camp, it made me more curious about the game. A few months later I got a recommendation from a couple friends about the game. Finally, during preseason 3, I finally decided, with my family's permission, to try out the game.
Even though I didn't do so well in my first couple games, I had a lot of fun in them. I'm the kind of person who likes to try out a lot of different things, and I also like a lot of competitive multiplayer games, and League of Legends suited my tastes perfectly. It was challenging learning it for the first time because I was so used to console games, and PC games like League never really seemed to be in my interest and because of how difficult it is to learn a MOBA in general, but still, it was a fun challenge, trying to learn how to play the game better (and in some cases, how NOT to play the game, like staying in the lane all game without moving about the map and that stacking attack speed on Corki was not very good).
