I just want a clarification about custom skins/HUD/maps/icon

Ok guys,

You know what is a custom skin, we install an external software ( like ultimate skin installer or wooxy or I dunno ... ) , we download the custom skin on the internet and then we drag the file to the software wich is connected to our LOL client so that we can play with the custom skin.

Custom skin can only be seen by you and not other players, it's only esthetics features.

I know some guys who got banned for using some external software used for custom skins, so can a rioter tell us if it's legal or not ?

Skins. Huds etc are Legal, anything that doesn't have a direct affect on the game itself or gives you and advantage is legal. Things like MKLOL are legal as long as you don't have the jungle timers enabled.

Custom skins are only seen on your side. not server side so I would assume they are legal just like huds.. but then again Riot could be a dick and probably ban you because you aren't spending money on their skins.
