Why do we make Custom Champions?

That is a million dollar question. Why EXACTLY do we create custom champions? I mean, none of us work at Riot so the chances of the concepts being turned into champions are very slim. Even Meddler mentioned in his AMA that the ratio of champ concepts that turn into actual champs is very small. All that these custom champions really become are just forum threads with feedback and discussions. But that's not what champions are supposed to be. So why do we do them? Well, I'm more interested in knowing why YOU (those who make custom champions) do it? Do you tell yourself that maybe one day, Riot-senpai will notice you and make my champion a reality or do you simply want to share your creativity with the world? What is your reasoning?
