"Frequently Played" and "Recently Played" - Is there a way to toggle between the two?

As most of you know, if you hover your mouse over a friend on your friend's list, it will show either their most recently played champion or their most frequently played champion. Is there a way to change which one shows?

I'd prefer for mine to show Frequently Played, and it used to, but now when I hover over myself for the last couple of weeks it says Recently played, and it is not always accurate.

Can anyone give some background on these?
