Lose a provisional with a 4 v 5?

Is there no system so that when we 4 v 5 and lose. I don't know, it doesn't count as a lose on the 4 other team mates games. Why can't it just ignore LP lose or gain and give the IP for a lose. We had no mid laner for over half the game. I was on a 3 game win streak which could have been 4. Maybe the technology just isn't here yet!
