... I was super excited and disappointed that I'd missed something like that, until I saw your picture. I hate you. I hate you so much.

But it's not Ao Shin, it's just a generic nightmare/shadow dragon representing aspects of the curse.

Ao Shin has nothing to do with Shurima as far as we know at this point in time, so it wouldn't make sense for him to be included in this video.

I do applaud your efforts however.

Of all the shadows represented they happen to put a shadow dragon, when a dragon is supposed to be the next champion? Also with the lore being reworked the lore part of it doesn't have to make sense especially as Amumu at that point of the video wasn't even in Shurima at that point. Also look at the comparison http://grabilla.com/0511a-ffd18713-5ea1-476a-aaa4-7f570942cf6a.png

I agree with you on the setting, but it could also be metaphoric. I also agree with you on the lore mess. I read a post recently from someone who was asking why LoL didn't have lore backing the skins and someone else made the point that they can't even bother with the champion lore anymore.

But I'd like to think that they wouldn't do something as outlandish as taking Ao Shin out of Ionia, which has a vastly different environment than what was shown in the vido. Granted, they also took Udyr out of Iona and put his butt in the Freljord faction.

Also contradicting is that Ao Shin was first revealed as a type of guardian/sentinel, but also possibly an antagonist. I'd have to look back at the Spirit Guard Udyr promo for more clarity, because I can't remember if it was clear what exactly was going on other that he had to fight this gigantic eastern dragon.

That's another point, the shadow dragon in the video appears to be western in design, while ao shin looks more eastern and also appearing to share characteristics with eastern spirits or demons. The shadow dragon is also missing the mane that Ao Shin has.

The word dragon itself is at its root a serpent, which in almost all mythologies is a creature associated with deception and evil, which would make it a perfect representative of the curse placed on amumu.

Also, could you link me to where they've announced that Ao Shin is next? I've been trying to keep up with news, but it's been a bit difficult lately to do everything with my phone. xD

Edit: Just looked it up, as of 3 months ago, Ao Shin is still listed as on hold, and not to be released any time soon. I don't think it'll be until late in the year or early next year based on history.
