Why does Zilean hate Vel'Koz ? @RIOT or smart people
He never did anything bad to Zilean, merely admired his citadel/tower when he was away.He should be his friend - Id like to see that (Void ZIlean)

Vel'Koz considers Zilean to be the only one with more knowledge than him, as Zilean can see not only the current world but the past and future world as well. Because of this Vel'Koz wishes to disintegrate him to consume all of his knowledge.
