The two advantages that Heroes of the storm has compared to League
Now Im not saying Heroes of the storm is a great game, It has a lot of issues such as: the leveling up system is weird, instead of maxing abilites it gives you options to make it better (can be seen as a pro/con), the in game goals are weird, the games are very quick and sometimes you have no idea whats going on, and the in game chat could have better placement and coloring.
Yet it has to things that are good: you can try out the champs (no matter the price) in a tutorial like setting and you can unlock a skin if you play the champ enough times with the in game coin.

Trying out champs- Now Heroes does have a free week rotation as well as the ability to try out champs. To me its great because its similiar to a tutorial/mod because you can level up the champ, toggle minions on and off, and test out the Q/W/E/R without having to slowly level. It also makes it see if you want the champ at all, compared to either waiting to buy it or the free week rotation.

"free Skin" Now I say "free" loosely because you still have to play a lot of games with the champ and still use a lot of in game coin to get it, but its a nice feature. Now I know that skins are how Rito makes money but this "free" skin is a nice feature to have. Blizzard stills has others skins to buy as well and I see a lot of people buying the skin over getting the "free" one.
Other than that League blows Heroes out of the water in its gameplay and strat.
