Why do People get SO Mad?

When I was playing a game a few minutes ago, I commented on my ADC(Kog'maw). I said, word for word: "Lol nice one" when he died. I had just died at dragon as Blitzcrank trying to steal...not the best idea. Kog came running over and died a few seconds later. Then since I think Kog duo or trio qued, they all ganged up on me telling me I suck and to stfu...and I had just meant that as a joke, no real harm meant. We had been doing fine in lane, good synergy. Then they got all mad, and throughout the rest of the game, they blamed me for almost everything, even the botched Baron where the enemy team got an ace. I think they needed to cool off so I said "cmon its not ALL my fault" and they just said I was annoying, then we surrendered...I feel like people shouldn't get so mad over a small comment, when I was just joking. Even when I was trying to calm them down by saying it's just a game, they got really mad...and so I am just ugh....anyone know how to NOT anger your ADC....?
