Is there a pre set max amount of key fragments you can get each season?

No. It will slow down though each month after you've gotten several keys, and then after the last one you get it will reset around that time the next month and you'll get them more frequently and so on.

so its possible to get 100 key fragments a month (I mean if you played 24/7 all day)

Probably if you were that lucky I guess. I've only really seen it go to around probably 9 fragments for 3 keys total... but you never know. Just push the game to its limits!

There hasn't been a definitive, direct answer to this question. Some people clam you can only get a max of 12 fragments per month, since you can only get 4 boxes in that time. Others believe the frequency has no lower bound, and drops just become less and less frequent until the monthly reset.
