Well ouch, I was writing a comment for the past 10 mins collecting the win rate of Rammus from multiple websites and comparing them to Orianna's. Needles to say, a little oops in my tired state and I closed the tab when coming back to it. I'm not going to provide the stat from each site I looked at, but Rammus has a win rate of approximately 52% putting him right up next to Jax and even higher than kha and xin. He's been slaying in solo quene these past few patches and is a reliable pick. Orianna on the other hand has a win rate closer to 49% putting her in the bottom 50% of all champions. While Orianna does have a higher play rate, Rammus proves to be far better at winning games. A victorious skin for the end of the season should be for a champion that was influential and important. Even though I wouldn't say Rammus is that champion, it would make far more sense than Orianna who I have only seen once this season and she happened to be useless.

Any site I come across shows the same thing, Rammus is winning more games by far than Orianna, so he's obviously a better and more influential pick. And if not, then at the least, it's not proof that he's any worse than Orianna. You have yet to give anything to support otherwise. I was checking the second thing you said about esports, but the esports tab doesn't seem to be working, the same with youtube. So I will have to check back later on that, but I have not seen Orianna or Rammus in any esports games yet. So I don't think either of them has an upper hand there, and regardless, there are obviously far better picks. Between Urgot, Aatrox, Ezreal, Kai'sai, and so on, there are plenty of popular and strong picks in pro play that are obviously far more important than Ori.

As I've said above, he's strong in solo quene, especially low elo where most players are and where the game should be centered about. So a champion that rules there is just as important as a champion that rules in higher elo, if not more so. And neither do I think pro play matters, whether it be esports or diamond and above, those people represent the upper 10-5% of the community. Sure they matter, we shouldn't forget these people, they come to enjoy and play the game like the rest of us. But based off proportion, they should not be the focus of Riot, Riot should not pander to their smaller community. And regardless of all of this, I believe there are far worst picks. Ivern for example. A champion so non-existant that many forget he even exists, along with the likes of anivia, fiddlesticks, xerath. The champions that have shriveled up in this meta. I don't understand how people can see Rammus as the bottom of the barrel, he's a meh champion that's great at his role, why the hate?
