Should i buy sol?
He seems like a fun tanky mage like swain but i was wondering how he is currently.

To be honest hes not all that good. Though he looks visually pleasing his problem is that you have to get to close to enemies to land anything and once a bruiser or assassin gets inside your Q your screwed. My recommendation is maybe try Kassadin or chogath depending on your playsyle. Or if you wanna go off meta Galio is a very under estimated champ with a very powerful ult.
Sol ring is one of the best cards in multiple formats.
The question is: Can you handle the awesome?
He's really hard. He gets dicked on by pretty much everyone in the game. He's good at cs, at ganks, and at AOE damage but its much better to play someone better.
He is... different. He is statistically very good, but viscerally he doesn't cut it. He is also much less tank than Swain because no regen
