Honestly, I think people need to be informed that League of Legends is first and foremost a LIVE GAME that is run by a BUSINESS.

That said, they HAVE to make a profit to keep the game going and introduce new things.

All these people complaining that "Riot only makes events like these so they can sell stuff"....... No. They make events that people might enjoy. The fact that the stuff is sold etc is only possible if they MAKE WHAT PEOPLE WANT. Just because you dont want something doesnt mean everyone else doesnt.

Complaining that Riot only does whatever to make a profit is silly because when you start working, you are getting a profit of a service that you sell. That is what feeds your families and you and lets you have internet and a computer to play League of Legends at all.

So please, keep this in mind the next time you see someone say, or if you start thinking that "Riot is only dojng this to make a profit".

Is anyone actually complaining about Riot making money?

I don't mean small children who haven't figured out that making money means getting to eat meals and sleep indoors.

Usually when someone says something like that they're complaining about some change or action that was detrimental to the game or alienating to the user base. Riot has made a lot of changes historically that alienated the players of the time because they wanted to move toward what they saw as a more profitable demographic. While that is certainly their prerogative, it's a betrayal, and people are definitely within their rights to complain about being disenfranchised. That's just communication.
