I want some feedback/advice. Should I download League and play it again?

It's been, I think, close to a year since I last played League of legends. I frequent the boards, but only for Malicious Metal/Laughing Fish posts. I have no idea how queues are working at the moment, as the last thing I read about it was someone complaining(for lack of a better word, no harm intended) that blind pick is the only available queue.

I used to mainly stay as a top or mid before I quit. If I were to download League again, what should I expect? Will I be able to get top frequently, as it was my main lane?

How is it balance wise?

I know it's a lot of questions, but I originally quit due to how stressful and anger inducing the game was. My thinking, after some time, was that I took a pretty good break from it. Should I come back and play it, or should I not download it? I know some people will say "It's up to you", and I know that. It is up to me. But it's also my choice to allow the opinions and thoughts of others sway my choice in whichever direction, even if it's by a small amount.

So, should I?

POST DOWNLOAD EDIT: I'm never playing this again. This was agony. I tried playing one of my favorite characters, Swain, in an ai match just to get used to it again, but he felt so clunky. I interrupted about forty percent of my autos. It was terrible. Once I got used to it, I went on to PVP, and played Lissandra mid(Another favorite). This time, autos were pretty good. I could reliably get cs with them, and I could orb walk pretty well.

Everything else in the match was a fucking disaster. Top died fast. Jungler couldn't do shit about the Lee sin pressure, and I had the pleasure of going against an AP Blitz. Our support Sion went AD, which is fine with me, but he always went in when he shouldn't of, and Sej was following right after. Our Twitch was pretty decent, from what I saw. But the situations he was in fucked him over constantly. Then there's me. Haven't played in a year, pretty rusty, and I have to go against a Rengar, Blitz, Cait, Lee, and Teemo. Fun.

I'm never doing this again.

POST DOWNLOAD RANT EDIT EDIT: The plants are pretty cool though.

Lots of changes in the last year you'll have missed out on. But in my opinion you would likely still enjoy playing League if you enjoyed it before, at least for the game that it is. Player behavior, however, has not significantly improved that I've seen (Have played LoL since the middle of Season 3). Some of your top lane picks might have changes to them that may impact your ability to main them if you used to main them back then. Breaks are important though. I think if you play League again it would be a good idea to be in the habit of being mindful how your teammates bad plays affects your stress levels and take smaller but more frequent breaks accordingly.

At least that's what I do. I'm a legally blind LoL player (Glaucoma in both eyes since birth + corneal transplants in both eyes as an infant, etc.) so I get a whole special level of playing games and people flaming at me for every little mistake I make instead of helping me improve or just flaming and trolling and all the usual crap. Best of luck and hopefully you'll be seen on the summoner grounds!

Well all sorts of things have changed. Yorick is now a cool monk guy who summons ghouls from his enemy's corpses. Courage of the colossus keystone has been added. Two more words: Assassin Update. Two more words: Living jungle. Things are all sorts of different now, so you should be prepared for that.

It's still stressful and anger inducing. Maybe even more.
